This place only has a little bit of army surplus; they mostly have trendy clothing, boots, and accessories. But they also have some cool weapons & spikes. NOTE: on September 12, 2005, i attended their "Screwed by the CTA sale" -- the CTA is widening the El platform right into where their store now stands. They are moving down the block; i don't know the new address yet, nor when they're moving.

It's a resale store stocked with the cast-offs of alterna-lifestyle-types just like you: vinyl & club clothing, boots, acessories, jewelry -- all in good condition & at good prices. I'm not sure this place is still there, plus i just called their phone number & got no answer. So phone before ya go.

Another store with vinyl clothes, chains, sex toys, etc. I've never found anything really cool or remarkably inexpensive there, but your results may differ. They open at 11 am; Monday through Saturday they close at midnight, Sundays at 10:00.

They have great stuff cheap!!! It's very girl-oriented, so if you're a hetero guy who is insecure about his sexuality, avoid it. There's a shoes-only "branch" of the Pink Frog about a half a block away at 905 W. Belmont. Note that i called their number just now & got no answer. Could be they're just closed for the night, but just in case, you might wanna call before you go.

They mostly carry silver jewelry: necklaces, bracelets, rings for all your various piercings as well as your fingers, etc. You may be happy to learn that their selection is now less about smiley faces & peace symbols and more about skulls & lizards. But not entirely. They bought Marché Noir a few years ago, and that stuff looks pretty spooky. In a good way.

They've got some vintage (used) clothing, as well as a lot of new stuff, like toys & novelties. I got an excellent set of salt & pepper shakers shaped like monkeys wearing fezzes. 'Nuff said.

They have lots of plastic clothing plus goth acoutrements, and sex toys galore. They also advertise a Gallery of Condoms, but i've never actually seen it. They've moved back to their old spot, and last time i was there (summer of 2004), the $10 rack had become the "$2.50 - $15" rack (even though i haven't checked in on the discount rack in a while, i know the store is still there).

Rotofugi is an upscale designer toy store and gallery. They sell both American- and Japanese-designed urban vinyl, capsule toys, t-shirts, etc.. They also have toy-oriented gallery shows occasionally; i saw one that had photos of Transformers as religious icons.
